Pig & Bunny Glam Session!
Backstory: We recently moved back to Virginia from California. While house-hunting, we met the neighbors at the house next-door to the home we'd ultimately purchase. We loved both the house AND the neighbors... hooray! The day we first met, we learned that these neighbors had a pet pig. Soon, we also met the adorably bunny that really looks like a stuffed animal. Truly (you'll see!). Both pig and bunny relished their moments in the sun (literally, ha) and the attention they received while the camera worked its magic on them. You can see my favorites of each pet, below.
- Meet Russell, the handsome Miniature Vietnamese Potbelly Pig -
It kind of feels like we're sneaking in on the sweetest moment shared between Russell and his favorite family member. Dressed for the weather, Russell looks so very dapper in his argyle sweater! Despite feeling as though I probably shouldn't share my favorite image right at the beginning of this post, I felt you should see just how much these animals are loved. Don't worry, though... plenty of equally as emotion-stirring photos follow. TRUST ME, you'll be gushing and singing, "Awwwwww!" at each one. ;) They all possess the same cuteness-factor!
Ok, so I should be honest, here. See his leash, below? Russell can wander (especially to my yard to eat the yummy foliage, which I thoroughly enjoy, seriously... I mean who all can say that a pig comes to snack in their yard?! I digress.), so he stayed on his leash. But, to add some extra whimsy to these images, I decided he needed to experience some photoshop magic and wander freely through the yard, sans leash. I'm sure he's appreciative.
FREEEEE!!! It's like he was reading my mind.
I even got a little "thank you!" smile and tail-wag, see?
- Meet Jasmine, the softest, prettiest Holland Lop Rabbit -
If I could, for a moment, personify Jasmine, I think she'd say something like this: "I'm perfectly accustomed to the pig receiving lots of attention. Being the fairest of the two of us, I'm content to keep to myself. Why are you sitting so close to me?"
Aww, sweet Jasmine, don't be so shy. We merely long to allow the world its collective gaze upon your soft, fluffy beauty.
"Oh! In that case, why don't I pose in this adorable basket? How's this?"
"Uhhh - wait, what's that sound? He's behind me, isn't he?"
"Now, for my close-ups!"
This was SO MUCH FUN! Thank you, wonderful neighbors, for allowing me to capture your sweet non-human family members!
