This session took place at my all-time-favorite spot in the desert. Joshua trees, a dirt road, mountains in the distance where the sun sets... this place embodies the stuff of dreams. Imagine my excitement when another photographer wanted photos taken here with her husband! I was so happy to be able to make this session happen before we both moved out of the area. These two didn't need a lot of help with posing, because, as you can see they're madly in love and they communicate it well with each other.
These wide-open desert spaces really allow for lots of sunlight to flood into the frame. I love how it paints a romantic mood for these two!
The vibrant, pink cactus blooms begged to be captured in photos, as well, so we took the opportunity for a little leg kick. :)
Ahhh, now you can see why this spot easily became my all-time-fave desert location!! That sky, those trees, that sunset... all of these sights are specifically recognizable as the desert in the southwest region of the USA.
I love asking people to hold hands and walk. It always yields the most honest, raw emotions to be seen from my side of the camera. Love.
That dirt road I was talking about? Here it is.
I brought along a little blanket for a little bit of lounging around in the desert. I didn't think about how prickly the ground would STILL be, even through the blanket! The things you don't see in the photos. Haha! They were champs through it all.
